Noteworthy Link – Bookstore People

Noteworthy Link
I was looking at the candidates for the 2011 Bloggie awards when one caught my eye – Bookstore People.

Their tagline confirms that it really is my sort of site.   “Reviews of independent bookstores because buying and reading books is an adventure.” While I frequently shop online for books I adore bookstores.  I remember my first trip to Powell’s Books in Portland.   I was in heaven!  And the folks at Bookstore People agree.  In their review they call it “the-mother-of-great bookstores.”

Bookstore People reviews stores from all over the United States and England.  There are also book reviews because it would be difficult to discuss bookstores without talking about books.

Get yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea and visit Bookstore People.

  2. Thank you for your kind words! Do you have any independent bookstores that you frequent now? Also, there is a website called Bookstore Guide that reviews bookstores that carry English books in Europe.

  4. Kim, Sadly I moved recently and haven’t found that special bookstore in my new location. I’m having fun looking though.

I’ll have to check out Bookstore Guide. That sounds like a valuable site!
